RTCC SMART Series: Briefing on Federal Smart Cities Funding & Envision: America
More than 70 people joined RTCC at NC State’s Institute for Emerging Issues on November 4 to learn about a recently announced White House Initiative $160 million focused on smart cities. Jennifer Robinson, Director, Local Government Solutions, at SAS opened the meeting with perspectives on the smart city movement.

On October 28, RTCC Executive Director Jenn Bosser, moderated a panel for the  Organization of Women in International Trade-Greater Triangle,  focused on how regional academic institutions are attracting, inspiring and training a global-ready workforce.

RTCC Executive Director Jenn Bosser was recognized on November 10 at the Electric Vehicle Challenge Benefit Breakfast for RTCC's support over the past year.

RTCC Participates in Global Cities Team Challenge Kick-Off Meeting
RTCC Program Assistant Emmit Owens attended the Global City Teams Challenge (GCTC) kick-off meeting November 12-13 in Gaithersburg, MD. The GCTC is a collaborative network of project teams working to develop and deploy smart city solutions enabled by the Internet of Things. 
SAS Utilities Analytics Forum 
On November 17, RTCC Executive Director Jenn Bosser attended the SAS Utilities Analytics Forum in Cary, NC to explore how big data analytics and the internet of things are tranforming the utility industry.
