December Prayer
by Sister Helen Jean Novy, H.M., Vice President of Mission
Advent is our first Christmas Gift:
a time and space to search for signs,
a scripture prelude to the best of Good News:
Jesus lives among us.
Dear Jesus,
Thank you for being made Flesh to live as God among us,
absorbing the totality of our lives
and all the griefs and joys of our humanity.
Jesus, Incarnate, You found no room in the inn
but now may we help You find a home
in any country, any church, any house, any heart.
May each of our hearts warmly welcome You
and learn greater gentleness
for all in our homes and world.
Amen.
You are also invited to see the December
Reflection by Sister Helen Jean.

A big thank you to everyone who made a gift to Magnificat on Giving Tuesday yesterday! Every gift to the Annual Fund goes to work immediately--supporting student financial aid and professional development for our faculty. Every gift to the Annual Fund goes to work immediately--allowing Magnificat to continue to improve learning environments, provide innovative programming and prepare for the future.
Why give to the Annual Fund? Not only does your gift make a difference immediately, it also has a long-term impact. Foundations that give large grants to Magnificat use the percentage of alumnae and parents giving as a sign of their confidence and belief in the institution. So it's not the size of your gift--it's the fact that you gave that makes all the difference.
