Join us this Sunday for Traditional Worship at 9:30am or Informal Worship at 11:00am where our scripture texts will be Psalm 24 and Mark 6:14-29 with a sermon entitled What Should I Ask For? The Gospel story is of Herodias asking Herod for John the Baptist's head. Herod respected John but was manipulated by Herodias. This story invites us to think about our allegiances and analyze our motives. What do we ask for from others? What do they ask of us? What does God ask of us? What should I ask God for? |

When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand, where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it. Learn to write your hurts in the sand and to carve your benefits in stone. ~unknown |
