Announcing the early findings from the Hire Learning/Employer One survey
Thanks to the close to 200 local employers who responded to the Hire Learning/Employer One survey during the month of January.
Complete survey results will be released in a report by the end of March. In the meantime we are excited to share some of the early findings with you.
Manufacturing (20.6%), and Professional, scientific and technical services (12.1%) employers were the highest respondents to the survey.
Employers reported a positive employment outlook; with most companies staying the same in terms of employment opportunities (48%) and another 46% expecting to grow.
Some employers find the recruitment of qualified individuals to be challenging.
The minimum level of education required for most hired occupations is a college diploma.
The majority of those who completed the survey plan on hiring in the next year (87%).
