What started over 20 years ago with a small team to fulfill customer requests is transitioning into a larger group with a more proactive approach to service.

With this new mentality, we have exceeded the number of customer site visits by 20% from last year, a new record! Looking forward, we are increasing our investments in our customers even more. E-Crane Model 9382B Handed Over to KST

The model that was installed is a 1500B series E-Crane with 38,2 m outreach mounted on a high rail portal, capable of serving Panamax
size vessels.

First Order in the Baltics

Recently, E-Crane's first unit in the Baltics was handed over to our client, KS Terminal in Riga, at the end of a six (6) week period in which the turn-key erection, commissioning and training processes were completed by our team consisting of Luc, Peter & Giel. After being assigned with a work area for the erection of the crane, the assembly process was carried out with next to no impact to KST's day-to-day operation.

After the official handover, the crane was immediately set to work loading a large ocean going vessel with grain (the 35.000 DWT MV Arklow Spirit destined for Oran, Algeria). E-Crane personnel were present during the loading process and noticed that the crane operators got used to working with the E-Crane in no time! This will even further improve as they spend more time driving the crane.

The addition of this new E-Crane means that terminal capacity has been increased tremendously and trucks are having a very hard time keeping up with the E-Crane during the loading process. Vessel turnaround time will be significantly reduced making the terminal a more cost effective solution for cargo owners.

The E-Crane is helping KST to become a more productive and efficient bulk terminal, while not increasing the carbon footprint as a result of the fully electro-hydraulic drive (like all E-Cranes). At this multi-purpose terminal, the E-Crane will be used to handle a number of different bulk materials. Amongst them: round wood, wood packages, grain, HBI, iron ores, etc... To facilitate this, a total of four grabs were supplied together with the E-Crane + quick change for fast switching.

This first E-Crane in the Baltics will shortly be followed by a second one, this time for a client in Lithuania. Check our website and newsletters for more information on this machine in the first half of 2016.

Polish Marathon Crown for E-Towers

Crown of Polish Marathons

Jan Manikowski - an employee of E-TOWERS FAMABA - won the Crown of Polish Marathons. The " Title of Crown" winner is awarded to runners who complete the 5 most important Polish marathons in a period of 24 months:

Marathon in Dębno Lubuskie;
Cracovia Marathon;
Wroclaw Marathon;
Warsaw Marathon;
Poznan Marathon.

In particular, the final endeavour for the Crown deserves special attention as it was a really remarkable achievement - our colleague, with the E-TOWERS logo on his chest, ran two marathons within two weeks, one on September 13 in Wroclaw, and one on September 27 in Warsaw. He broke his personal best in the latter of the two marathons, and all at the age of 61 after only two years since the beginning of his adventures with long-distance running!
