Community Action Council
CAC of Howard County Newsletter, April 2015
"The power of our work is in our partnerships.  Through leveraging the time, talent and treasure of our volunteers and donors we are able to better meet the needs of our low-income families--giving them a chance improve their circumstances and develop their capacities so that they too can share in the wealth of our community," Bita Dayhoff, President-CAC.

Thank You Volunteers

April 12-18 marks the National Volunteer Appreciation Week. "The week  is about inspiring, recognizing and encouraging people to seek out imaginative ways to engage in their communities." Points of Light.

On a daily basis CAC benefits from the support of volunteers at every aspect of its operations.  Whether it is reading to the children at Head Start, sorting food at the Howard County Food Bank, or filing at our main office, each task brings us one step closer to our mission.    Community members have volunteered over 7,000 hours to CAC over the last nine months.

As we approach the National Volunteer Appreciation Week, we want to say thank you. Thank you to each individual who has shared their time with us.
In a world where time is one of the most valuable commodities, we feel so fortunate to have you give us the gift of your time and talent.  One step at a time, with the help of our Volunteer Community, we are making our little corner of the world a better place than we found it." Bita Dayhoff, CAC President

CAC is incredibly grateful for all of our very talented & passionate volunteers! THANK YOU!
