From the Rector
On Tuesday, November 24 th we will gather at Saint Paul's to participate in the ordination of John Jenkins to the Sacred Order of Priest.  Plan to be here at 7:00 p.m. to support John in the pivotal event in his and the Church's life.  That night the Bishop will lay hands on John's head and say these words, "Therefore, Father, through Jesus Christ your Son, give your Holy Spirit to John; fill him with grace and power, and make him a priest in your Church."

With these words and with this action the Bishop is not ordaining John as a priest for Saint Paul's, or the Diocese of Georgia, or even in the Episcopal Church in the United States, but for the whole Church.  Because of this our prayers and support now and throughout his ministry strengthen not only John but the Holy and universal Church of Christ.

This is a busy time for all of us.  It also a most important time to gather as the Church and participate in the building up of the Body of Christ.

Let's all join in this celebration with joy and thanksgiving as we give our assent and offer our prayers and praise for the raising up of John to be a Priest of the Church.

See you there!
