Oct. 8-11, 2015 - High School Bible Retreat 

The High School Bible Retreat is an annual retreat for all teens (both in public high school and our academies). It happens every fall at Camp Kulaqua (usually the 2nd weekend in October). Hundreds of teens attend to be together and have joint worships, small groups, solo time, service opportunities, group games, the amazing race, and sometimes we even have baptisms.

CHAPERONES
All students attending must be accompanied by a Chaperone.

Ratio:  ONE same gender chaperone for every NINE same gender students from the same church is FREE!  
- Example 1:  One female adult chaperone brings nine female high school students;  chaperone is free!
- Example 2:  Seven students come from one church - three are male, and four are female;  one male chaperone and one female chaperone are free!)

Additional chaperones, beyond this ratio (9 students/1 adult-same gender), will need to pay the regular student rate of $99.

Students without chaperones will not be accepted.  All chaperones must be at least 21+.

It is required for each chaperone to complete the mandatory Shield The Vulnerable onilne training and background check.  (Please attach a copy or church letter stating this has been done for each chaperone that will be attending).  To complete the online training, go to:  Shield The Vulnerable

EXCUSE LETTER FOR SCHOOL
Your high-schoolers will miss school on Friday, October 9, 2015.  Here is a letter from the Florida Conference requesting your child be excused from their absence, in order to attend the High School Bible Retreat:   High School Bible Retreat Excuse Letter for School

PERMISSION SLIP / MEDICAL CONSENT FORM
The Permission Slip / Medical Consent Form needs to be filled out completely, and signed by a parent or legal guardian for each student attending:   HSBR Permission Slip / Medical Consent Form

TRANSPORATION AVAILABLE
A round-trip coach bus is available, leaving from Forest Lake Academy on Thursday, October 8 at 6:00pm, returning to FLA on Sunday, October 11, after the retreat is finished.  Call Hiram Lopez for pricing - (407) 925-9848.
