Invest in Our Most Valuable Resources, Our Kids!
Everyone Benefits When Our Community Invests In Education

The beginning of the school year is an exciting and sometimes anxious time for students heading back to the classroom. Some students are concerned about more than the usual issues related to schoolwork, social connections and tight schedules. They are concerned about having school supplies, technology, and homework help they will need to succeed in school. They may not know how they will navigate the competitive college application process, or how they can afford the musical instrument they would like to play in the band.

FLITE works to make sure such kids in the T/E schools have access to all the tools, support and opportunities they need to succeed in school. We need the help of our generous community to achieve this mission. Our major fundraising campaign is now underway - please help provide the following vital resources for hundreds of local kids:
  • Donate $1,000 to provide one semester of preschool for one child.
  • Donate $500 to provide homework support for one child for one semester.
  • Donate $275 to fund a home computer or instrument rental.
  • Donate $120 to fund a graphing calculator.
  • Donate $50 to provide needed school supplies.
  • Donate any amount to help the kids.
Of course, ANY amount of support will help kids in our community this year. Please go to  www.flite-pa.org to contribute today. Thank you for being a part of the generous T/E community that believes in supporting achievement by eliminating economic barriers to education.

With gratitude,
Hank Lloyd,  FLITE, Chair

"I attended the After School Homework Program at VFMS which taught me important study skills for success in school. I attended the Spark the Wave leadership camp with FLITE's help. I attended a Biomedical Research Academy with the help of FLITE funding. I am grateful for these opportunities and feel they will help me achieve my dream of becoming a doctor so that I can help others in need and make something of myself."
