Healthy Workplace Award

Vigon International was recently honored with the 2015 Healthy Workplace - Continuing Excellence award.

Presented by Highmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield in cooperation with seven regional chambers of commerce, the award recognizes companies who are dedicated to workplace wellness initiatives. The health and wellness of Vigon Team members has always been a top priority for the company, which makes this award that much more of an honor.

Swing'n by the Sea

At the beginning of October, the 12th annual Swing'n by the Sea was held in Atlantic City, NJ.

Although the weather did not cooperate for golf the following morning, that allowed everyone to extend the fun night at the Borgata. Thank you to all who came out to make it another memorable year. See some pictures of the event posted on our Facebook page here .

Tell us a little bit about your background

I have worked as a quality, sensory, and production leader of food products since I graduated from Penn State in 2011. These jobs have spanned from tasting chocolate, to QA of dog food, to production and packaging at Frito Lay.

What do you like best about your job?

I have come from the big corporations and have seen many great employees lose jobs just because the multi-billion dollar company wanted to save a few grand to increase the bottom line. They fail to recognize that the greatest assets in a company come from the ideas and work from the employees. I believe Vigon recognizes this.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

This upcoming winter you will find me bombing down a run at Camelback. During another season, you may find me either working out at a Crossfit gym or playing video games/binge watching Netflix.
