Chamber Seeks Nominations For Non-Profit and Citizen of the Year Awards 5:00 p.m., Monday, August 31, 2015 will be the deadline for submitting nominations for the Outer Banks Non-Profit of the Year and Outer Banks Citizen of the Year Awards. This Outer Banks Non-Profit of the Year Award will be presented to a Non-Profit Organization that is a member in good standing of the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce for work performed that has been a benefit to the community. 2013 was the first year we presented this award and past winners include the Outer Banks Relief Foundation in 2013 and the Beach Food Pantry in 2014. This award is sponsored by Charlie Aycock, Attorney at Law and will be presented at the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting & Awards Banquet on Wednesday, October 1, 2015 at the Ramada Plaza in Kill Devil Hills. The Outer Banks Citizen of the Year award will be presented to an individual for outstanding contribution to the quality of life of the Outer Banks area. This nominee must be a member of the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce in good standing or an employee of a member business. This award is co-sponsored by PNC Bank and will also be presented at the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting & Awards Banquet on Wednesday, October 1, 2015 at the Ramada Plaza Hotel.
