I missed sending a newsletter last week, so I wanted to make sure this newsletter had some great information.
I apologize for being distracted, but my daughters wedding is in just ten days and I have been quite busy with many tasks.
This week we are updating you on the agenda for day three of the Convention, July 8, 2016.
As promised For the next few weeks, I will outline what will be happening each day of the convention.
Of course you can review the entire agenda and schedule on line at www.DS2016.com.
Also, with this newsletter I am including information on how to contact our vendors this year, before the coming Christmas Season.

Day Three at DS2016
Friday, July 8, 2016 -
Today will offer some fun and games plus our first
series of workshops for Santas and Mrs. Claus. We will also enjoy an All-American Barbecue lunch, a group photo with all of the military veterans and top the day off with a private evening at Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede!
And all of this is included in your basic registration!
Here is the current, tentative Itinerary:
7:30 - 9:00 a.m. Charter bus shuttles will transport all Santas and Mrs. Claus from hotels to Convention Headquarters at Chateau on the Lake. All of today's activities will take place at the Chateau, except for the dinner show.
8:00 a.m. - 10:00 pm Kringle Family Showcase - Chateau on the Lake
 9:00 a.m. 11:30 a.m. SNO-lympics - Competition and Games between Santa Regions and Associations. There will competitions for Santas and Mrs. Claus, both individuals and teams!
11:45 a.m. - Veterans Assembly and Group Photo
Noon - 1:30 p.m. All American Barbecue Lunch with entertainment
2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Session I Workshops
3:00 - 3:15 p.m Break
3:15 - 4:15 pm Session II Workshops
4:30 - 6:00 p.m. Open Time (Shuttles to begin running to all hotels and to Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede (click for link to see all about the show)

- 10:00 p.m.
Tighten your bootstraps for fun filled private party at Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede. Enjoy a powerful performance featuring 32 magnificent horses and cast of top-notch trick riders in a 35,000 square foot arena. Thrill to a friendly North and South competition, horse riding stunts at top speeds, spectacular special effects, phenomenal musical productions all while you enjoy a mouth-watering four-course family feast! This is a private party for DS2016 and is included in your convention registration package.
Following the Dinner Show, shuttles will take everyone back to their hotels

 The Kringle Family Showcase is a wonderful venue with over forty vendor booths and just about something for everyone. And it is Sold Out. From Customs Wardrobe for Santa and Mrs. Claus to quality accessories, casual attire, and represenatives from the major photo companies.

We have the full list on our web site, along with a description of what they offer and links to their web sites. We were thinking of putting the list here, but viewing it on the web site is much easier and the vendor directory even allows you to search for specific items, if the vendors have listed them
And if you are a vendor, make sure our listings are correct and include all the products you offer. We don't want you to miss any opportunities to get a little business this year.

Planning Committee to Visit Branson
On September 9 and 10, Members of the Planning Committee will be making a Pre-Convention Visit to Branson. Simply called a "Pre-Con Visit," the purpose will be to visit the hotels and venues that will be used for the convention, and to assess all needs required for the convention.
Prior to this, only Santa Tim had been visiting the venues and now it is time to do more detailed inspection and planning for the Parade, workshops, vendor showcase and all of the events.
A second "Pre-Con" will be held next March, when more of the committee chairs will be visiting Branson and reviewing the venues again, and making final plans for the world's largest Santa convention.

On October 1, we will be adjusting the registration rates for our convention packages. Of course anyone making reservations by September 30, and getting in some form of deposit will be guaranteed the Early Bird prices. So you need to fill out your registration form today and talk with T

Two years ago we began negotiating with the hotels, attractions and venues for blocks of rooms or seats and special rates. Basically we got agreements for the rates they were charging in 2014. They gave us what we wanted, but with the provision that we do our bookings early, and make deposits to cover the registrations.
They also added that after September 30, 2015, they would need to adjust the rates to cover their 2016 costs. Unfortunately they can't keep the room blocks on hold forever, nor hold seats at shows and attractions without some sort of reservation or guarantee.
So, on October 1, many of the registration packages will be updated to reflect the new rates they will be charged for everything. So, if you are thinking of going to DS2016, register today. And should you later find you need to cancel, don't worry we will get you your refund.
