"It was very helpful to have information regarding our local nursing home that does the Music and Memory Program, including the names of the contacts. I would encourage connecting with them if one is in your area!! "

03/02/15 - 1.Visit your doctor 2. Seek out legal experts (get affairs in order) 3. Get community help 4. Don't take personally

Health Information

June -- Men's Health Month

smiling-breakfast-man.jpgThe WWHF spends a lot time talking about women's health. However, because June is Men's Health Month, we wanted to share some information about them.

The purpose of Men's Health Month is to heighten the awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment of disease among men and boys.

Please check the Screening Test Guidelines For Men to find out about important screening tests for them. These guidelines are recommended by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the U.S. Preventative Services Task Force. Be sure the boys and men in your life consult with their doctors to be certain to get the tests they need.

Allergy

colorful-tulip-field.jpgSpring is in the air. It's so beautiful. But to some people, spring means sneezing, coughing, itching...You're right, it's allergy season!

An allergy is a reaction by our immune system to something that may not bother other people.

Please read this article to find more health information about how to reduce symptoms and live better.
