Lived Through This: Thoughts on an Eight-Year
Road Trip Spent Listening to Sexual Violence Survivors

Date: Thursday, November 5, 2015
Time: 6:30-8:30pm
Location: Nancy's Auditorium  | YWCA Toronto  |  87 Elm Street

YWCA Toronto is pleased to host Anne K. Ream, writer and founder of the Voices and Faces Project, an award-winning documentary initiative created to bring the stories of survivors of gender-based violence to the attention of the public. Ms. Ream is the author of Lived Through This: Listening to the Stories of Sexual Violence Survivors (Penguin/Random House).

Eve Ensler has called "Lived Through This" a book of "heart-stopping, beautifully rendered stories that remind us that when we tell our stories,
we change the story."

Listen to Ms. Ream reflect on her multi-year, multi-country journey documenting
the stories of victims of sexual violence and trafficking. Hear remarkable survivor narratives.  Learn about new ideas and models to create a safer and more just world
for victims. Challenge conventional thinking on how survivors heal.

This is a free event made possible with generous financial support from the Donner Canadian Foundation.

All are welcome. RSVP to:   [email protected]
