FEBRUARY 2015
Network Notes

In January, The Colorado Network of Health Alliances launched our 2014 Annual Report: Progress and Possibilities!

The report highlights the collective, state-wide work of the Network, in addition to the impact of the Alliances at the local level in their communities.
You can find the publication on the Network homepage and highlighted in a recent CCMU blog post and a recent The Colorado Trust blog post.

The Network has made tremendous strides in the past year, and we look forward to what the next year has in store.

Be well,
Jess
Alliance Spotlight
South Metro Health Alliance

The South Metro Health Alliance (SMHA) grew out of the work of the Littleton Immigrant Integration Initiative (LI3) which included a Health and Wellness Program. SMHA was formed in 2009 by providers who wanted to continue and expand the key components of this Health and Wellness Program.

Members of SMHA now include organizations who help to serve the uninsured and underinsured population of Arapahoe and Douglas counties of Colorado. Their members comprise clinical service providers, community-based organizations, health & wellness educators, and partners.

SMHA's vision is to be the convener of the community to address the changing landscape of health care.

EVENTS: Network In Person Meetings
Over the past month we hosted two in-person meetings for Alliances in the Network. The first meeting was for Population Based Alliances who focus on achieving health equity in specific populations. Alliances shared best practices and lessons learned, in addition to identifying opportunities for collaboration moving forward.

The second meeting convened Eastern Plains regional health leaders to discuss what role formal collaboration has in the region, and how the Network can support that work moving forward.

These regionally focused meetings have proven invaluable to explore regional approaches to collaborative health systems change in Colorado.

RESOURCE: Action and Insight Memo - Community Data Dashboards
In December, the Network hosted an exciting webinar focused on best practices around community data dashboards, an innovative new approach to understanding and forecasting common community-wide goals and population data. We were joined by Network member Matt Guy and Insightformation, Inc President Bill Barberg, both of whom have experience working with different community data platforms in Colorado communities.

ANNOUNCEMENT: New Members
We are thrilled to announce two new members to the Network of Health Alliances!

The Asian Health Alliance of Colorado has been meeting since 2014, to bring together health system leaders to work towards health equity for Colorado's Asian population.

La Alianza del Pueblo is a newly forming group focused on the Latino and Hispanic constituency. The group is just in its formative stages with strategic leadership provided by CCMU.
