Happy Birthday U.S.A.
Join thousands of your friends and neighbors as we celebrate Independence Day in the City of Cumming. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. Friday, July 3 at the Cumming Fairgrounds. There will be plenty of vendors, live music, food and kids' activities, all leading up to the fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Stick around for a dance contest immediately following the fireworks. On Saturday, July 4, the 58th Annual Thomas-Mashburn Steam Engine Parade will make its way through downtown Cumming beginning at 10 a.m., but you will want to arrive early for a good spot on the parade route, which runs along Tribble Gap/Castleberry Road through downtown Cumming to the Cumming Fairgrounds. Be sure to bring water, sunscreen and ear plugs if you're heading to the parade. For more information, click here.
Did you know?   The Cumming Fairgrounds houses one of the largest collections of antique steam engines in the country. All owned and maintained by local families, the giant machines, which were used during the early 20th century for various agrarian work, are put back into action for the enjoyment of the entire community every year during the Thomas-Mashburn Steam Engine Parade.

The Cumming Utilities Department offers a rebate program for customers who trade in their old toilets for low-flow models. Since 2010, the department has provided more than $15,000 in rebates, which are applied to water customers' bills.
