Sevierville (TN), 4 March 2015 - Next Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM,
author/musician/artist Elyse Bruce will be launching the next Missy Barrett Adventure book at the
Shear Madness Beauty & Beyond salon on Dolly Parton Parkway in Sevierville. "
Foiled Again" is the fourth book in the series aimed at young readers aged 7 and up, and their parents.
"Missy Barrett is a smart kid but she's not a smart aleck," Ms. Bruce says with a twinkle in her eye. "She sees life as a big adventure made up of many smaller adventures along the way. This story is about her first trip to a real hair salon, and all the intriguing things she learns while she's there with her mother."
Missy Barrett is on social media with
her own WordPress blog that boasts over 2,000 followers, and has a recently created
Facebook Fan Page that's generating even more interest in the Missy Barrett character from children and adults alike.
Cassandra James, the owner of
Shear Madness Beauty & Beyond, and her colleagues -- Christin J. Mack, Christy Graham, Mackie Leigh James, and Tiffany M. Pace -- are featured in this delightful children's story. The book launch is being held at the salon located at 941 Dolly Parton Parkway in Sevierville from 5:00 PM to 6:30 on Wednesday, March 11th, and includes a reading from the book by the author. There will be prizes and giveaways for kids as well as other Missy-style surprises.
