Project Pic of the Month
October 29 marked the three year anniversary of Hurricane Sandy's destruction, felt throughout New Jersey. We are grateful for the thousands of volunteers who joined us to help our neighbors and our state recover. So much work remains to be done, as this group of Prudential volunteers found early in October when they arrived at a Keansburg residence. The volunteers removed siding that was damaged by high winds and helped repair damaged porch steps. Big thanks to Prudential and its employees for spending their Saturday helping people in need, even three years after the storm.

More than 1,100 corporate volunteers participated in service projects in October, making this our busiest season of corporate service on record! Our thanks go out to all of the hardworking volunteers who helped make a tremendous and important difference to all of our partner organizations! With Thanksgiving and the rest of the holiday season right around the corner, you can start getting into the holiday spirit with a festive volunteer project. For the hardworking employees of Becton Dickinson, volunteerism may not always be glamorous, but it does always bring a smile! Between sorting memorabilia and treasures in the basement of an American Legion Post to leading nutrition workshops at an elementary school, Becton Dickinson showed their spirit by both preserving our history and ensuring a bright future for the kids of New Jersey. We are grateful for their contributions to behind-the-scenes (and underground!) volunteerism as well as their creative streak as gardeners and landscapers for the day. Serving four different locations, including a nature preserve where they cleared trails, each group brought their unique talents and positive spirit to their projects. We know we speak for Jersey Cares, and New Jersey as a whole, when we say, thank you Becton Dickinson!
