Was one of your New Year's resolutions to volunteer more in 2015? Maybe your resolution was to explore more of New Jersey? There's

no better way to explore than through volunteering with Jersey Cares. The Volunteer Opportunity Calendar has more than 100 volunteer opportunities for this month that will fit everyone's interest.

While the days may be short in January, you can bring extra sunshine to someone else's day. Browse the Volunteer Opportunity Calendar to register for a project today!

Annual Events

Make MLK Day a Day On and not a Day off!

Join Jersey Cares for the 7th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service spanning Friday, January 17 - Monday, January 19, 2015.

Volunteers will honor Dr. King's legacy while displaying their own leadership skills as they brighten dull walls with fresh paint, teach kids about the Civil Rights Movement through workshops, organize donations, and spend time with seniors. Volunteers throughout New Jersey will work to embody Dr. King's vision and bring people of all ages and backgrounds together strengthening their communities.

Corporate Corner

NBA volunteers spread joy and happiness throughout the state this December. The group began by graciously donating 120 gifts for

Jersey Cares Frosty's Friends program. The rest of the month was filled with holiday spirit as over 50 volunteers visited three Paterson elementary schools. In two schools, hallways were filled with the sweet aroma of candy and students grinning from ear to ear after volunteers led gingerbread house workshops and holiday story time. Another school received meticulously painted college flag murals, a newly organized media center, a vibrant blue painted teacher's lounge, and impactful anti-bullying workshops. Thank you, NBA for giving the gift of service this holiday season.
