Thanksgiving Break
School will be closed for Thanksgiving break
November 25-30.  We thank YOU for choosing York Catholic!   
Faculty Update
We are pleased to announce the addition of Mrs. Denise Nichols to our Business and Technology Academic Department.  She will begin on Tuesday December 1 and will be teaching Computers 7, Computers 8, Computer Applications, Computer Programming, and Journalism for the remainder of this year.  Mrs. Heather Loser will continue to teach Digital Imaging and will officially take over Business Finance, Business Management, and Accounting.  Mr. William Sibley will continue to teach Accelerated Accounting and C.B.T.  Mrs. Nichols recently achieved a Master's degree in Science and Learning Technologies and is Certified in Instructional Technology.  Mrs. Loser has a Bachelor's Degree in Business with a Master's Degree in Education.  We are looking forward to the leadership and dedication of the fully staffed department moving forward.

Giving Tuesday

We want to remind you that York Catholic will be taking part in this year's #GivingTuesday, on December 1. It's easy (and fun) to get caught up in the consumerism of the holiday season with days like Black Friday and Cyber Monday. That's why a day dedicated to giving and doing good for others, like #GivingTuesday, is so important!
 
This year we hope to raise $7,500 to go towards York Catholic's Annual Fund.

Junior High Christmas Dance
The Junior High Student Council is hosting a Christmas Dance for all YC junior high students on Friday, December 4, from 7-9 PM.  Guests from other schools are not permitted to attend this dance.  The 7th & 8th graders will be entertained by a DJ while they enjoy some food and each other's company.  During the week of December 2-4, the students can purchase a dance ticket in homeroom.  The price for the dance is $5 in homeroom, but $7 at the door.  Your children can ask their Student Council representatives if they need any additional information.
Home & School Organization Meeting

Please join us for our Home & School Organization (HSO) meeting on Wednesday, December 2 at 6:30 PM in the faculty dining room.  Join us to discuss our 2nd annual Christmas cookie handout. Parents and fans are invited to raise the Irish spirit and meet the athletes who will be representing York Catholic this winter.  Meet the Teams Night will be held Tuesday,
December 1 at 7 PM in the gymnasium.  Come out and cheer on our teams!
