We all know that an "attitude of gratitude" raises our vibration level, and can quickly attune us to the Source of all Abundance. And what a wonderful attitude of gratitude we have cultivated over the last several weeks, which culminated in an absolutely lovely Dedication Sunday this past weekend. Our service and celebration luncheon were both true expressions of the very best in our ISD family as we reflected on ISD's meaning in and for our lives, proclaimed our intentions as we left the sanctuary, and then celebrated our dedication by breaking bread afterwards. Magic! Pure and simple. Who wasn't blown away by our phenomenal guest speaker, Rev. JoAn Dawkins, and her precious metaphor apple woven into her songful insights throughout her talk. Again, Magic!
What a meanigful way to lead into our own personal Thanksgiving holidays! If we continue our "attitude of gratitude" throughout the next few days and beyond, our vibrations will raise the roof wherever we are during the holiday and into December, and, ultimately into 2016, the year of ISD's 30th anniversary.
There is so much going on in December, beginning right at the beginning! Tuesdays, December 1, 8, 15 and 22 at 7:30 p.m., we present
"The Faith by Which We Live," led by Rev. James De Biasio and Rev. Rob Banaszak, exploring the Perennial Philosphy that unites all faith traditions, that is behind why WE believe what we believe.
And that is just the beginning. We'll have our
Decoration Party on December 6. We'll have a very special
Message Circle on December 12 that features blindfold billet readings by Rev. James De Biasio. We'll celebrate the
ordination of Deacon Martha Saenz on December 13. We'll hold our wonderful
Children and Young Adult Service for the youth members of our ISD family on December 20 (which includes their participation in the service!), then follow it up with our fabulous holiday party immediately afterwards. We'll honor the
Winter Solstice with our special service on Monday, December 21. And of course, we will celebrate a very metaphysical Christmas on Christmas Eve, December 24 with our beautiful
Candlelight Service.
Check our calendar, then mark your calendar, for so many sensational seasonal spiritual offerings in our sanctuary and beyond.
And, to you, our ISD family, and to all of YOUR families, we wish you a most blessed and abundant Thanksgiving holiday.
In joy, peace and GRATITUDE -
Rev. Rob Banaszak
