Campus Invited to Watch President's Presentation
The Fullerton College community is invited to attend the North Orange County Community College District's Board of Trustees meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 24, as Interim President Dr. Greg Schulz presents the Fullerton College 2014-2015 Annual Report. Dr. Schulz will share a brief presentation on the past year's highlights and accomplishments as well as information from the college's Institutional Effectiveness Report and the Fullerton College Strategic Plan, including student demographics data and success outcomes contained in the Annual Report and Institutional Effectiveness Report. The NOCCCD board meetings are held in the board room on the first floor of the Anaheim Campus located at 1830 W. Romneya Drive in Anaheim.
World AIDS Day Resource Fair and Movie Night
Health Services and the iHeart club at Fullerton College will help bring awareness to those affected by HIV and AIDS during World AIDS Day on Tuesday, Dec. 1. World AIDS Day events take place across the country to raise awareness and show support for people living with HIV. Read more...

More than 30 parents and administrators from Anaheim High School visited Fullerton College on Nov. 18 as part of the "Jump Start to College" high school outreach program.

Sociology Club Collecting Socks for Hospices
The Sociology Club is collecting super-soft fuzzy socks for hospice patients until Sunday, Nov. 29. Socks will be distributed during the holidays through the Southern California Hospice Foundation. A drop-off box will be located in office suite 1423. Contact Angie Andrus at

Fashion Du Jour Outreach at FC
Fullerton College fashion design and merchandising students will have the opportunity to network with industry professionals and promote the fashion program during the inaugural Fashion Du Jour. This outreach event provides students with a venue to display their work, get feedback from professionals and promote the program to local high schools students and the community. Special Election Candidates
The candidate filing period for running in the district's Trustee Area 3 seat, closed on Friday, Nov. 13. The four candidates who submitted paperwork to run are Steven T. Blount, Daniel D. Billings, Steven Hwangbo and Alan "Al" Salehi. The statements and information related to the special election can be found on the

Spring Registration Opens

Transfer Center Offers Workshops as Application Deadline Approaches
The deadline to apply for CSU and UC transfer is Monday, Nov. 30. The following services are available to students for last-minute assistance. Transfer Night is a joint collaboration between the Fullerton College Transfer Center and Humanities Division providing assistance with UC personal statements and CSU and UC applications. The center will be open until 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23 and, RSVPs are required for personal statement assistance. On Tuesday, Nov. 24 there will be a CSU Application Workshop from 2 to 3:30 p.m. All events are in Building 200, Room 212. For more information, visit the Transfer Center or go to the

Dublin Study Abroad Info Session
The Study Abroad Program is traveling to Dublin, Ireland this summer. An information meeting will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 3:30 p.m. in Building 200, Room 224/226. Students interested in the summer Study Abroad Program must have 12 units of college-level work completed by summer, including ENGL 100 and must have a GPA of 2.5 or above. More information at

This is the last full week of the exhibit. Encuentros is a unique art exhibition that brings together works of art from ancient Mexico and other regions of Latin America.
The Fullerton College Symphony will present an evening of music from the classical and pop genres in the Campus Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for adults are $10, students and seniors are $7 and children are $5.
The Fullerton College Synergy Vocal Jazz and Jazz Lab Band ensembles present a wonderful evening of jazz in the Campus Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for adults are $10, students and seniors are $7 and children are $5.
The FC Electronic Music ensemble will present an eclectic mix of different genres of electronic music from the past century as well as cutting-edge popular and avant-garde genres of electronic and ambient music. Tickets for adults are $10, students and seniors are $7 and children are $5 for this concert in the Campus Theatre at 7:30 p.m.

Women's Soccer: Four Hornets Make All-OEC
Four Fullerton College Women's Soccer student-athletes have made the All-Orange Empire Conference team. Goalkeeper Mallory Van Voorhis and Johanna Moran both garnered first team All-OEC honors while teammates Naysla Munoz and Crystal Foutris made the second team selection. More at

#5 Fullerton's 2015 season ended on a down note on Saturday afternoon losing 42-24 to visiting #10 Chaffey College in the Western State Bowl.

The women's volleyball regional championship seeds were released on Friday afternoon with Cabrillo College (23-1) and Santa Barbara City College (23-3) earning the No.1 seed in their respective regions.

The Hornets traveled up to Fresno's Woodward Park for the State Cross Country Championships last Saturday with two individual runners, Andrea Mendez and Pablo Perez, representing FC for this prestigious competition.

Fullerton hosted Palomar College in a non-conference match-up at home last Tuesday night and were upset by the Comets 72-65.

. Up Next: The Hornets (5-2) will pick it back up when they play at the Bakersfield Tournament on Nov. 27 to 29.
Women's Basketball
Fullerton entered the Glendale Tournament last Thursday and squared off with Pasadena City College. FC did their best to keep up with one of the state's best, however they eventually lost to the Lancers 54-41. In their next match-up the following day against Antelope Valley, the Hornets fell in double overtime 51-45.
Up Next: FC (2-2 overall) will host LA Trade Tech in a non-conference match-up in the Hornets Nest on Dec. 1. Tip off will be at 7 p.m.
