This Week at Pellissippi State
Don't forget #GivingTuesday, Dec. 1
Students need you.

Don't forget that on Giving Tuesday, Dec. 1, the Pellissippi State Foundation has scheduled a one-day blitz to raise funds for student scholarships. The Foundation hopes to raise $25,000 -- and every donation, large or small, makes a difference.

Scholarship money makes college possible for many of Pellissippi State's students.  This year, 80 percent of Foundation scholarships went to students who were non-traditional or adult or otherwise ineligible for Tennessee Promise. Even with Tennessee Promise, college isn't free for many of Pellissippi State's students.

You can help support Giving Tuesday in a number of ways:
  • Consider donating on Dec. 1 at https://giving.pstcc.edu.
  • Help spread the word about #GivingTuesday on social media. Be sure to follow and retweet the Foundation on Twitter @psccfoundation.
  • Tell us why you give. Visit www.pstcc.edu/foundation and download an "Unselfie" sign. Fill it out with your reason to give, then post a selfie with your sign on social media. Be sure to tweet it to @psccfoundation, using the hashtags #GivingTuesday and #Unselfie.
One hundred percent of the money raised goes to Pellissippi State scholarships and other student aid, including the Greatest Need Fund, the Homeless Student Scholarship, the Veterans Support Fund, and the General Scholarship Fund.

Stay tuned to @psccfoundation on Twitter for more information!
