Women UNITED Seeks Clothing Donations 
The  Women UNITED Clothes Closet will feature gently used business attire to prepare women and men who are served by area nonprofit agencies for workplace interviews. Opening in October, the closet will be located at the Northeast Iowa Community College Main Street campus.

We are seeking...

Gently used suits, dresses, shoes, briefcases and handbags. Donations will be accepted at United Way, 215 W. 6th Street, Dubuque (Phone: 563.588.1415) OR Farm Bureau Financial Services at 2333 JFK Road, Dubuque (Phone: 563.587.8900). Please call in advance to make drop-off arrangements.

An opening reception for the closet will be announced in early October.

Thinking About CHILDCARE Differently

In November 2014, a federal reathorization of the Child Care and Development Block Grant (CCDBG) required states to create a plan for the access, safety and quality of childcare programs.  DHS has been working toward a plan that will be submitted in March 2016. 
Food And Volunteers Sought For Circles Initiative Meal

Women UNITED will supply a meal for 75 at the Tuesday, Dec. 1, 201 5 Circles Initiative / Dubuque. If you're willing to  donate a cooked menu item or interested in  assisting at the meal, please call the United Way office at  563.588.1415. For those donating food items, menu suggestions will be provided. The food can be delivered to either  the m eal site or to the United Way office earlier in the day .
Women UNITED  is a group of community-minded women who provide the opportunities and support it takes to build successful lives through the United Way building blocks of Education, Financial Stability and Health. Their mission is to activate the power of women to strengthen our community and drive sustainable change.
