A Message from Religious School Principal, Lois Tompkins
We are very excited about our Family Program on Nov. 1 with Artist-in-Residence Mordechai Rosenstein!  Please check out the flyer below under EVENTS AT THE JACKSONVILLE JEWISH CENTER for more information and opportunities with him.

All of our Religious School students will be creating their own piece of art under the instruction of the Mr. Rosenstein.  Here is the schedule:

10:00-11:00   grades K-3 students and parents
11:00-12:00   grades 4-7 students and parents

Parents are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to join us for this program!  This is a unique opportunity to work with a famous artist!

Don't forget our Home Rituals Mitzvot Program for this month: lighting Shabbat candles.   Take a picture as you prepare to light the candles (remember: we can't take pictures on Shabbat) and post them on facebook, email or via staff!  If you don't want to post a picture, write about your family experience.  Have fun celebrating being Jewish and being a part of this special community.
Let's Support Sydney's Bat Mitzvah Project!

One of the requirements for me to become at Bat Mitzvah, is to complete a Mitzvah Project. A Mitzvah Project is just one way for me to learn and understand that we are all responsible to try to make our world a better place. For my Mitzvah Project, I have chosen to collect items that are needed for Little Star Center.

Little Star Center is a private, non-profit school that provides comprehensive, affordable, individualized education and behavioral services for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental delays.
