Let All Who Are Hungry Come and Eat
Deadline is  March 25th
Beth El wants to assure that all of our members are welcomed at a seder. As the Haggadah says, "Let all who are hungry come and eat." That means, if you have extra places at your seder, please open your home to one or more members of the Beth El family or Triangle community. If you do not have a place for a seder for this wonderful holiday, please give a member of the Beth El family the privilege of sharing a seder with you. The seder hospitality initiative is headed by the Synagogue Life Committee, and we will be pleased to arrange for hosts and guests to enjoy the seders together.
To invite someone, or to request a place, please contact Sheri at Beth El  (919-682-1238 ) .
Passover Food Drive
Due by March 31st
Regarding the Passover meal marking the journey from slavery to freedom, God tells Moses that "The entire community of Israel is to do it." (Exodus 12:47)

But what of our fellow Jews who may not be economically able to provide any traditional foods for their families?

Jewish Family Service of Durham - Chapel Hill is collecting specific Passover items for distribution to Jewish families in need: matzah, gefilte fish, matzah ball soup, coconut macaroons, and holiday candles.

Please consider donating 2015-dated packages or jars of any of these items,
and help all Jews in our community to be able to observe Passover. There is
a large plastic tub in the Beth El lobby - fill it to overflowing before March 31!

Questions? Ask Bob Wechsler (919-937-9542) or Sally Hicks (919-667-1405).

Sell Your Chametz
Due by April 2nd @ 5:00pm
Need an easy way to sell your chametz? Visit, Sell Your Chametz
Passover is arriving soon! Our tradition teaches that we sell or donate our chametz as  a way of entering fully into the Passover experience.

Beth El's Social Action Committee is planning to send one of its members to your house  on Thursday afternoon or evening, April 2 to pick up some or all of your chametz for  distribution to local homeless shelters on Friday, April 3 (the day before Passover).

Unopened products containing chametz are perfect. Partially-used products in closeable  containers and in glass containers are also acceptable. Your donation should be in a  cardboard box or bag so the Brigade drivers can collect it easily.

Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity to perform two important mitzvot: ridding  your house of chametz and feeding the hungry. Sign up information will be available  soon.  Questions? Please contact Sandy Kessler or Sheva Zucker at 919 286-3628 .
