Local Artist Exhibit in October

The artist for the month of October is Eileen Golden of Northwood, NH.  Eileen says she has always been deep into some form of art expression. She received her formal training at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and graduated from Queens College with a major in art and elementary education. She worked as an art teacher in the Lynbrook, NY, school system. In 2006 Eileen began taking lessons from Doris Rice of North Hampton and later from Larry Frates of Laconia. Without the guidance of these two talented watercolorist she doubts she would have reached her current level. Those teachers released her muse and she is indebted to them both.   Eileen continues her classes with both and lives in Northwood, NH with a dog and two cats.

This and That

Reader's Advisory

Reader's Advisory is one of the things we do best at the library. We are all avid readers and enjoy making suggestions or recommending books. We also have many bookmarks suggesting read-alikes for favorite authors or subjects. Ask us what
we're reading next time you're in!

New Information Board

Have you seen our new information board in the lower level hallway? We've consolidated our flyers for what is going on at the library here, so be sure to stop and look on your way into the building. We also have a section of the board where we will highlight a resource provided by the library. This month we're showing how to research a new dryer on Consumer Reports online using Ebscohost!
