School Picture Day October 9 
For the purpose of school file photos, every student will be photographed on school picture day. A variety of photo packages are also available for purchase from the school's photographer, Lifetouch. Packages can be pre-ordered online by visiting mylifetouch.com. On Picture Day, children must bring the confirmation page with the picture ID number (which is generated after placing an online order). The photographer will ask your child for that number. Order envelopes must be returned to school on Picture Day. Retake Day is scheduled on Tuesday, November 17.


Lower & Middle School - Save the date!
Grandparents and Special Friends Day is November 13.  Grandparents will receive an invitation in the mail. If you would like to have a special guest added to the mail list, please email Jenn Neuner.
Community News 

Volunteers Needed - MPH Open House
The Admissions Office is seeking volunteers to give campus tours during the Open House on Sunday, November 8 from 1-3 p.m.. Training will be provided! Those interested should contact Nicole Cicoria.

Guest Speaker
In recognition of National Banned Book, Supreme Court plaintiff Mary Beth Tinker will visit campus on Thursday, October 1 to discuss first amendment rights and censorship as it relates to her own experience in the landmark court case for student rights, Tinker vs. Des Moines School District. View a short interview where she explains her case. Sophomores and Juniors will hear her speak. Thank you to Lisa Morrison for arranging Ms. Tinker's visit.

Middle School Program Night

Class Trips  
Sixth and seventh graders will return from Frost Valley on October 2.  Buses will return on Friday at 2:30 p.m. Parents may retrieve their student early, or at the regular 3:05 p.m. pick-up.  
 
Lower School 

Lower School Program Night 
Program night will be Thursday, October 1, starting in the dining room at 6:30 p.m. Parents will have an opportunity to visit their child's classroom and speak with lower school teachers (the evening is a parent-only event). Light refreshments will be served. 
 
First Grade Field Trip 
The first grade will be walking to the DeWitt Fire House on the morning of Tuesday, October 6. The group will be of campus 8:50 - 10:00 a.m.
