Employers: Help us understand your workforce challenges!
Workforce Planning Hamilton is updating our community's yearly Labour Market Plan. A key element of the plan is understanding the workforce challenges faced by local employers.
We are reaching out to employers that are a part of the key industries driving Hamilton's economy. Our survey will take less than 10 minutes to complete. With this quick survey we will be able to identify technical and soft skills challenges, training issues, future growth and other labour market issues from across the sectors.
With this information we are able to work with partners from across the community to address your key skills priorities.
Be part of Workforce Planning Hamilton's new project on Soft Skills Research!
Through WPH's consultations with employers and employment service providers it is clear that new employees and job seekers alike need to build their soft skills to gain, and retain their jobs. Skills such as communication, time management, a positive attitude, teamwork, and attributes such as punctuality and work ethic are lacking in some individuals.
As a result of this community feedback WPH will be undertaking a Soft Skills Research Project which will include consultations with employment service providers and employers. A literature search will take place, a report will be written, and a community event will take place in November 2015.
