“Not forgiving is like drinking rat poison and then waiting for the rat to die.” ~Anne Lamott
In this day retreat we will learn from a master who truly struggled with forgiveness for her entire, short life: St. Therese of Lisieux.
We will spend time in Lectio Divina around whom or what we are longing to forgive and ask for the empowering grace of Jesus Christ to see the offender in a new light. We will explore distinctions between forgiving and some things that are commonly mistaken for it: forgetting, reconciling, condoning, excusing, and seeking justice. Understanding the differences between them allows for healthy, effective forgiveness and greater freedom.
Registration is $45 when paid by Monday, October 19, $55 after, and includes program, materials and lunch. Please register by October 23.
