What's new for Gala 2015?
Thank you so much for purchasing tickets to the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery's annual fundraising event, the Black & Gold Gala!

If you have purchased a table for a group, please make sure to share this important notice with your guests!
 
This year promises to be another fun evening with great food, wine, art activities (including the popular table-top art activity) and of course the Silent Auction!
 
We are thrilled to announce that   CBC KW Morning Show host Craig Norris and Waterloo Region Eats  food writer Andrew Coppolino are our MCs this year!
 
This year we are also introducing two new additions to the Gala - our Online Art Auction and the 50/50 Draw!  Read on for all the details about this year's event.
 
Online Art Auction:
As of October 5 th, you can bid online for one of 12 works of art, donated by artists in support of the Gallery. To view the works, please visit https://www.32auctions.com/BlackandGoldGala2015 . It's really easy to bid - just follow the steps to set-up your secure auction account and start bidding! These works will only be available online and you can bid from home or from away as the site is mobile friendly! The online auction features work from local favourites Jane Buyers, Doug Kirton, Judith Stephens-Wells, Robert Achtemichuk and many others.
 
50/50 Draw:
New for this year is our 50/50 draw and it's definitely a win win! In helping to raise funds for the Gallery, you could win half the pot! Tickets will be $5 each or 3 for $10 so make sure to bring cash with you. Limited tickets available. Winner must be present to claim prize. Draw will take place at 8:30pm, just before the Live Auction.

 
Tickets:
If you have already ordered your tickets, we will be sending them to you the week after Thanksgiving. The tickets are electronic this year and will be delivered via email for you to print at home. If you have purchased a table of 10 and have not already done so, please forward your guestlist to us by Friday October 9th via email [email protected]
 
Silent Auction:
Thanks to the generous support of regional businesses and organizations, we have a wonderful and varied silent auction this year including:
  • A night in the Rangers broadcast booth with 570am's Mike Farwell
  • an axe-throwing party for you and your friends from BATL|Kitchener
  • Overnight accommodation at a variety of establishments including Langdon Hall in Cambridge, Huff Estates in Prince Edward County and a selection of hotels and B&Bs here in Waterloo Region
  • Beautiful furniture from Schreiter's and Hauser
  • A tour of Steam Whistle Brewing Company
  • A night at the opera with the Canadian Opera Company
  • tickets for two to the CN Tower in Toronto
  • Gift certificates for salon and spa services, golf, photography and restaurants
  • Gorgeous jewellery, purses and scarves

This year's four fabulous live auction prizes are:

  • A private box for you and 9 friends to watch a Kitchener Rangers game
  • A day-long guided Art & Architecture tour of Buffalo with KWAG Executive Director Shirley Madill and Bill Curran of TCA/Their+Curran Architects featuring the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, the Burchfield Penney Art Centre and in an depth tour of Frank Lloyd Wright's renowned Darwin Martin House complex.
