October Prayer
T
he words,
in sickness and in health,
are/were in all the marriage vows. According to the dictionary, a vow is a solemn promise or statement by which a person is bound to an act, a service or condition (such as marriage). The LORD our Heavenly Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit have made vows with us the believers so that when we go in our prayer closet we are assured that we will be heard.
The LORD has promised "...I will never leave you nor forsake you." (Heb 13:5; Josh 1:5) " So we may boldly say: The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. " (Heb 13:6)
Paul wants us, the believers, to realize "that fear of man produces panic that causes them to run away and to be alarmed." (Strong's #5399) He is saying the LORD wants us to have a reverential awe or fear of GOD that is constructive. Perfect love casts out fear of man. (I John 4:18) Being filled with GOD's Spirit will cause us to be fearless (2 Tim 1:7) NKJV word wealth
With so many different events happening around the globe, it is so very important that we remember we have a loving GOD who wants to have a relationship with us. He wants us to draw near Him. (Song 1:4) "It is good for us to draw near to GOD; we will put our trust in the LORD GOD, that we may declare all His works." (Ps 73:28) "Come close to GOD and He will come close you." (James 4:8) "As for GOD, His way is perfect. The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him." (Ps 18:31)

Pastor Mark Eisold
Dear Friends at First Lutheran Church,
Greetings in Christ! We pray you are all well. We are writing to let you know that our family is completely funded for the next two years so we have a request of you to help other missionaries who are currently looking to go into the mission field. There is information about other missionaries that could use your help.
You may contact Debbie Feenstra at
[email protected] in order to change your support from our family to these other missionaries.
Thank you so much for the care and support that you have always shown our family. You all mean so much to us.
Blessings to you all!
In His joy and peace,
Mark and Sandi Eisold

Time to Review?
LCEF will work with you and for you when you review your savings plans. Being optimistic, tax bills were presumably paid in April or shortly thereafter. Summer vacation expenses were presumably paid by the end of August. Is September the time to plan with anything leftover?
What are your short-term and long-term goals? A multitude of choices are available by researching
www.lcef.org or contacting Jack Martin at 375-1805.

Life South thanks all FLC members who tried to give blood at our most recent drive. We provided 7 units of blood to them.
As a non-profit, community blood center, it is their responsibility to maintain an adequate supply of blood to meet the needs of patients in the hospitals we serve. They can only do this with the support of our dedicated community.
Thank you and please consider donating next time.
