He also leads the day-to-day operations of the Greater Omaha Economic Development Partnership, the Chamber's one-stop center for economic development that covers six counties in the eastern Nebraska-southwest Iowa region.

President's Column
Holiday Greetings - I hope you had a chance to get outside this past weekend. The weather was beautiful with lots of sunshine. A bit chilly, perhaps but we had a great time ringing the Salvation Army bells on Saturday at the Westroads JC Penny. What an eye-opener. People can be so giving. I found young people, teenagers and young adults stopped, turned around to come back and drop something in the bucket. But, then, I found that several elderly ladies also, took the time to dig out their wallet and bring a few dollars to the bucket, even though they had already stepped out into the chilly wind. Families were busy bringing in their children and some would donate. The faces of the small children made me think of those little ones who are less privileged but will benefit from the work of the Salvation Army. It was great to see such a giving spirit among the customers. I'm glad I was a part of it. Thank you, to everyone that participated. And, if you didn't have time this year, maybe next year you'll be able to give an hour of your time, simply ringing a bell. Thank you to John Wehrle for his work in taking over this project this year. He did a great job.
Now, get on the horn or shoot an email to five people to invite them to one of our Friday meetings. We do great work because it gives us an opportunity to benefit children in need. We love our club. Have a great week!
Thank you,
Lisa

LAST MEETING
Our speaker this week was Trevor Towey of the Omaha Fire Fighters Association. Mr. Towey gave us description of the Omaha Fire Department's services, staffing and resources. The Omaha Fire Department responds to all aspects of public safety.
Many may not be aware of the community involvement of the Omaha Fire Department. They have a fundraiser almost monthly and raise funds for MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association), organizations who help people who have been burned and Operation Warm, a program that provides a brand new, American-made coat for children in need.
YCPO Spotlight
We were also joined by Lisa Shkolnick of HETRA. HETRA was a 2015 YCPO Grant recipient. Funds went to help five individuals receive therapy for a year through their Hippotherapy program. Ms. Shkolnick was very grateful for the funding HETRA received in 2015.
