December 2016

Dear Hadassah Friends:

Celebrating Hanukkah, the Festival of Light, surrounded by family and friends is one of my favorite holidays. Lighting the candles, enjoying the retelling of the story of the Maccabees, the story of dedication and community speaks to who we were and who we are today. As the days get shorter and darkness envelopes us earlier we continue to offer "enlightening" programs here at Hadassah. Please take a look at ongoing and upcoming programs.

Upcoming on December 18th is the second meeting of our monthly Toddlers (and their Special Adult) program,  Al Galgalim, which began last month at Temple Emanuel. It is not too late to sign up for the remainder of the academic year ($34 for the remaining 6 classes) by clicking here to print and fill out the registration form and by contacting Hadassah Northeast at 781-455-9055 or [email protected]. Please click here to download and print a copy of the informational flyer below.
Hadassah member Naomi Lopkin is featured above with her granddaughter at a recent Al Galgalim tot class.

Additional Hadassah Programming and Opportunities
We have  begun a lovely Hadassah Sisters Mentoring Program. If you would like to welcome a new member and invite her to  join you at an upcoming Hadassah event please contact Sue Lewin at [email protected]   or Lauren Baskir at  [email protected]
You can make one of our many new members feel welcomed and engaged.

Remember too that you have an opportunity to give FREE Hanukkah gifts of annual membership in Hadassah.  The recipient will get a free year of Hadassah membership AND a free year of the award-winning Hadassah Magazine!  This offer ends on December 31st, so Hanukkah is the perfect time to take advantage of this amazing opportunity! This December also offers us a special opportunity  to double the impact of our donations.  A generous donor will match your new gift dollar for dollar up to 1 million dollars. Click here to contribute to the match.

In the spirit of the holidays we are once again doing Gift Wrapping at the Chestnut Hill and Prudential Mall. Please consider signing up for one or two slots.  It is an easy way to make our fundraiser a success again. Call a friend and volunteer together.
