TOPIC: NON-TRADITIONAL TAX ADVOCACY

Meeting Description: 
  
This seminar will cover alternative methods of advocating for the taxpayer.  It will include how to work with the Taxpayer Advocate Service, reaching out to Elected Representatives,and contacting Media Outlets on behalf of the taxpayer.  The discussion will also include how to file a complaint with Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) and the Taxpayer Bill of Rights.

Frank Agostino, Esq.

Frank Agostino, Esq. is the President of Agostino & Associates, PC, a tax firm in Hackensack, New Jersey. He received his LLM in Taxation from New York University, his Esq. from New York Law School, and his BA from the City College of New York. Agostino concentrates his practice in criminal and civil tax matters before federal and state taxing authorities. He was an attorney with the IRS District Counsel Office and also served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney, concentrating in criminal tax prosecution. Agostino is a frequent lecturer on tax controversy and litigation matters.
