A MESSAGE FROM NORTH ISLAND SNOWDRIFTER PRESIDENT

Wow we are already in July. It seems I just got back from the FWSA convention. Many NISD members and their friends attended the Silent Auction at the Town and County in Mission Valley. The great turn out made an impression with FWSA and the Skiing and Boarding industry, which was great. So thank you all for helping to make it a great event for all. We just celebrated Canada Day with our Northern friends on July 1st. Let's hope they send snow down to us next season. Afterwards we celebrated the 4th of July with our local friends. No matter which one you celebrated I am glad you safe so we will see you on the slopes next year.

 

Now as usual I need to take care of some club business, but I will make it short. We have some good news for our club. We have just appointed Dale Voetzel as our new Vice President. We are looking forward to some new ideas and new vision for the NISD future. Dale will make a great addition to the board of directors. If you are interested in a board position call one of the board members and ask about helping or attend a Board of Directors Meeting. The next board meeting is at 6 p.m. July 28, 2015 at Giovanni's Restaurant, 9353 Clairemont Mesa Blvd, San Diego. Attend the meeting and decide if you would like to join the board or just share your opinion about the job we are doing.

 

In addition, with some good news there can come some bad news. We decided to cancel our July meeting which is open to the public in order to take care of some official club business. This is not that bad because it will give us the time needed to finalize our plans for the Mammoth 2016 season and start our Mammoth preseason signups. But as you have heard our fly away trip plans are set and you can start signing up for a great week long trip to Copper Mountain today. Just go to our website to get the information and MJ and Edie will be more than happy to sign you up.

 

Last item wanted to remind everyone that this is my last year as president so please start thinking about who you want as your next president.
