Next month, at regional events in four Arizona cities, artists and arts organizations from across the state will pitch innovative arts-based ventures to a live audience and a panel of experts for a shot at $10,000 in seed funding.

Guidelines for Grants to Organizations & Schools Now Available Grant guidelines for Community Investment Grants, Arts Learning Grants and Festival Grants are now available for download. While applications will not be accepted until February, the Arts Commission encourages prospective applicants to review the guidelines and begin preparing their application materials as early as possible. Free Audience Development Workshop with Matt Lehrman The Arizona Commission on the Arts is partnering with Audience Avenue to bring Matt Lehrman's Audiences Everywhere™ workshop to Phoenix and Tucson in February 2015. Thanks in part to the sponsorship of Patron Technology, Audience Avenue and the Arizona Commission on the Arts are pleased to offer these workshops free of charge to those who register in advance.

Robert Booker Elected Chairman of Grantmakers in the Arts
The Arizona Commission on the Arts is pleased to announce that the agency's Executive Director, Robert Booker, has been elected as Chairman of Grantmakers in the Art, a national network of private, public and corporate arts funders. Click here to learn more

Arizona Arts Education Census Update Released
An update to a 2010 census on access to arts education in Arizona schools reports that while the number of students without access to any arts education has declined, more than 115,000 students still lack access to arts instruction by highly qualified arts teachers. Click here to learn more

NEA Awards $240,000 in Grants to Arizona Organizations
The National Endowment for the Arts announced on Tuesday, December 2, that it will award $29.1 million in 1,116 grants in three categories: Art Works, Challenge America, and NEA Literature Fellowships in Creative Writing. $240,000 will be awarded to Arizona-based projects.

Arizona Artists Receive NALAC Fund for the Arts Grants
The National Association of Latino Arts & Culture (NALAC) announced last week the awarding of nearly $300,000 in support of Latino arts and culture. Among this year's recipients were two Arizona artists: Annie Lopez of Phoenix and Marc David Pinate of Tucson. Click here to learn more

Childsplay seeks a motivated, proactive individual to manage a new educator engagement program which will focus on deepening relationships with teachers through sustained cultivation and stewardship activities.

Now Accepting Nominations for Volunteer Panelists for Annual Grant Review Process

National Endowment for the Arts 2015 Funding Guidelines Posted
