James Dean's Last Drive 2015
Starting in Hollywood and culminating in Salinas California on the 60th Anniversary of James Dean's Last Drive, the event completes the fateful drive that James Dean took on the way to race his car, including important stops along the way.

The Drive is an actual cruise along James Dean's route to Salinas. Participants will arrive at the Salinas Municipal Airport at 6:00pm on September 30th. The welcoming Festival includes live music, a car show, Dean's favorite foods, memorabilia exhibition and vendors. It is the official James Dean Festival on the west coast.

Doors open at 5pm to welcome the drivers who participated in James Dean's Last Drive from Hollywood to Salinas, where, if he had lived, would have entered his Porsche 550 Spyder in the Sports Car Club of America races to qualify for the prestigious Pebble Beach Race (this road track was later the inspiration for Laguna Seca Raceway). All festival events are free to the public.

The Drive
Cars meet at 9am at the former site of Competition Motors 1219 Vine Street,Hollywood CA.  Drive starts at 10am.   Stops along the way include gas station, speeding ticket, diner and crash site.  Note: you need not make the drive in order to attend the Festival and Car Show at Salinas Airport or the movie at Maya Cinemas.
