Happy 4th of July from TireSocks, Inc!

You may notice a new face on the newsletter this month. I'd like to welcome Kim Baker to the Tiresocks, Inc. team! She will be taking over the newsletter from here. Take it away Kim... - Stefanie Homant

The 4th of July is when Americans celebrate their independence, but did you know this interesting fact?

John Adams believed that July 2nd was the correct date on which to celebrate the birth of American independence, and would reportedly turn down invitations to appear at July 4th events in protest. Adams and Thomas Jefferson both died on July 4, 1826--the 50th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. ~ History Channel

And let's not forget our friends to the north; Canada celebrated their Independence day on July 1st - Happy Canada Day.

We wish everyone a happy, fun and safe holiday celebration!

Independence Day Celebrations ~ The History of Fireworks

In 1777, one year after the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Philadelphia held a massive celebration. From the Virginia Gazette via the Smithsonian:

One of the most elaborate celebrations in 1777 and the first organized celebration of its kind occurred in Philadelphia. This event had all of the elements of typical future celebrations-the discharge of cannon, one round for each state in the union, the ringing of bells, a dinner, the use of music, the drinking of toasts (it would subsequently be traditional to have one toast for each state in the union), "loud huzzas," a parade, fireworks, and the use of the nation's colors, in this case the dressing up of "armed ships and gallies" in the harbor.

In The Spotlight

CE-DFW Warehouse Solutions has been providing material handling solutions for companies in the Dallas / Fort Worth Texas area since 1998. "What can't we do?" is what satisfied CE-DFW customers say.

In March of 1998, in a home in Keller, Texas, Rene Verstraete started the company with one customer and one sales person. His vision of fair priced warehouse equipment services coupled with excellent response time and exceptional customer service.

Rene got it right. In June of 2000 the company moved to its first location in Hurst, Texas, and by April of 2007 Rene retired, leaving the company in the capable hands of Bobby and Brian.

Today, CE-DFW is located in Grapevine, Texas with 850 customers, 41 office employees, and 55 technicians. "We continually try to exceed our customers' expectations for service and value". CE-DFW still has the best response time to service calls in the Dallas & Fort Worth area and convenient to Gainesville and Denton, TX.

CE-DFW's commitment of focus is still on superior service and response.
