Dhasa Bishop. Started CF mid January 2015.
2. Where were you born/raised?
Born and raised in Philly (Minus the accent!)
3. Married, kids, family?
Married to my love, Nathan Knecht. We have three kiddos. Gavin's 11, Shia's 5 and Landon's a wee two.
4. What do your days consist of?
Lots of running around with my kids.
5. What is your favorite thing about CrossFit?
I
like the intensity and the workouts are different most of the time so I don't get bored.
6. What is your least favorite thing about CrossFit?
Since CF is my only exercise at the moment, I'd like to switch it up with more steady cardio.
7. Favorite WOD or movement?
I have a love hate relationship to the Erg after rowing in college. It does bring me back to fond memories so it's my fav right now.
8. Least favorite WOD or movement?
If I do one more wallball........!!&@!
9. Do you have any goals in CrossFit?
Yep. I started CF trying to recover my strength after a hard pregnancy. I was fatigued and not my usual self. My goal is to continue to keep building my core strength.
10. When you're not CrossFitting, what activities keep you busy?
We have a small farm, so when I'm not running after kids, I'm usually tending to it. Goats, chickens, ducks, peacocks and gardens keep me busy. Yes, we have peacocks in North Boulder!
11. How do you make CrossFit a part of your weekly schedule?
I love the 9:30 Women's Group. I drop off the kids at school and then head over. It works great for me.
12. Any favorite stories from the Women's Only class? Funny, comical, happy, cool?
I'm notoriously clumsy. So having to learn the many different and sometimes awkward CF movements was hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing after front rolling off a box trying to do head stands. The most embarrassing was knocking a entire rack of barbells off the wall. That was a doozy.
