APDesign students from all disciplines are invited to participate in a design charrette starting Sept. 21 for a new rehabilitation and farm training center to serve the wounded soldiers and their family. Click here for more information. 

An interdisciplinary panel of design professionals will share experiences of practice during a presentation of "Surviving the Professional World: A guide from A-Z answering your questions about how to navigate the design field" Monday Sept. 21 at 6:15 - 7:15 pm in Seaton 063. This event is sponsored by the Women in Design and the APD Dean's Office. OUR CONTRIBUTIONS
LARCP Professors Jessica Canfield, Lee Skabelund and Katie Kingery-Page, along with Dr. Stacy Hutchinson of Biological and Agricultural Engineering secured a $20,000 grant to K-State from the EPA. The funds will be used to conduct green infrastructure monitoring at two on-campus sites - the rain garden at the International Student Center and the Meadow.

Congratulations to Stephen Samuelson, RCP, who was elected SPA's president on Sept. 14.

APDPro: Signage & Wayfinding Workshop will be held today at 6 pm in APDesign West, Room 119. Learn about signage and wayfinding  in preparation for the design charrette on the weekend for the WWI Museum & Memorial signage. MUST ATTEND WORKSHOP TO GO TO DESIGN CHARRETTE!  This will fulfill a Special Topic Event requirement for APDPro.

APDPro: WWI Memorial & Museum Design Charrette will take place Sunday, Sept. 20 from 1-4 pm in Room 119, APDesign West. Help design signage for the WWI Museum and Memorial in Kansas City.  Must attend  Thursdays' workshop to be eligible for the design charrette. This will fulfill a Special Topic Event requirement for APDPro.

The Kansas Preservation Alliance is hosting the annual Historical Preservation Conference in Manhattan Oct. 7- 8 Click here   for conference information.

When the Well Runs Dry Film screening and commentary by the filmmaker and K- State faculty members, along with audience discussion will take place Thursday, Oct. 22, 5:30 pm at the Beach Museum UMB Theater. Click here for more information about the PSI hosted event.
