Everyone Deserves Their Own Library and DREAM is Making it a Reality!
For the second year, more than 2,000 students participated in first of three DREAM/MVOL (My Very Own Library) Scholastic Book Fairs along the North Coast. Students from 8 public schools and DREAM's 5 Educational Centers each chose 3 books to grow their home libraries. As one student said, "I love the book fairs because I can choose interesting books for my home and now they are MINE!" Along with guest author Ana Galan, the students enjoyed book talks, art activities and shared their books with the community. These Book Fairs bring proven results, as studies show having books in the home has a greater impact on academic outcomes than parent education levels. Thank you friends and family of Anne Feeley and a special thanks to our reading heroes, Coco and the Bailey-Tuvell Family!

DREAMers of the Month:
RC22 DREAM Team
We couldn't let this month pass without spotlighting the amazing work of our RC22 DREAM Team in San Pedro de Macoris. After three months of Montessori and Early Childhood Education training, the teachers are ready to accept their new students with open arms. Julissa Tejeda, former DREAM Community & Family Coordinator in Cabarete, is the new director of the RC22 DREAM School. Albania Torres, Julissa Garcia, Patricia Martinez and Maria Margarita are our lead teachers, and Juana Cornieles and Fabiola Rivera round out the administrative team. We could not have achieved this milestone without their dedication, vision, and unwavering commitment. We'd also like to thank our Montessori Coordinator, Francisca Fierro Becker, and our Montessori teachers for providing the training and technical support to our new team!
