Make Hanukkah Happy for Wilton Jewish Families!
Here's a way to make a difference this Hanukkah for
some
needy Jewish Wilton families. Through the good works of the Wilton Department of Social Services, we've been asked to support several Jewish Wilton families who celebrate Hanukkah by providing a $100 Gift Card for each of 12 children in these families.
Think about all the gifts you give to your children each year...and then think about how you could really make a difference for these families.
All you have to do is click on the Donation Form here and donate what you can to the TBC Tzedakah (Social Action) Fund and indicate the donation is for "Make Hanukkah Happy for All Kids!" Our Social Action Committee will purchase the gift cards and deliver them to Wilton Department of Social Services.

Share Our Simchas - Sponsor an Oneg!
A wonderful way of celebrating special happy occasions (simchas), such as birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, the birth of a child or grandchild, is by sharing your joy (nachas) with the entire congregation and sponsoring the Oneg Shabbat for the Friday
of your special week. We'll arrange for the food and set-up, all you do is send a minimum donation of $125. If you would like to sponsor an Oneg, please call or email the TBC office (203 544-8695 / tbc@templebnaichaim.org) and we'll pencil in your special Shabbat. In the words of the traditional Yiddish wish for birthdays, May you live to be 120 (the age achieved by Moses, and therefore considered to be the ideal lifespan). L'Chaim!

Calling All Torah Chanters!
Many of you volunteered to chant during this year's High Holy Day services and you did a marvelous job. If you enjoyed this experience, then it's time to chant again. If you wondered how you, too, could participate and chant Torah, then now is the opportunity to learn! We are looking forward to hearing Torah chanted at the following Friday
night Shabbat services this year:
December 18th - Torah Portion (parshat) "Vayigash": Genesis 45:4-8 OR Genesis 45:9-15;
February 19th - Torah Portion (parshat) "T'tzaveh": Exodus 28:26-30; and
April 15th - Torah Portion (parshat) "M'tzorah": Leviticus 14:8-11.
This is a wonderful opportunity to keep your Hebrew skills fresh, to learn and to engage with Torah. And if you have never read from the Torah since your bar or bat mitzvah, this is a special way to challenge yourself. It is also a very special way to participate in our services. In addition, we are looking for those of you who would like to participate by having the honor of blessing the Torah on these dates. We will provide tapes and training for anyone interested, so there is no reason to hesitate. Please call (203) 544-8695) or email (rabbibearman@templebnaichaim.org) the Rabbi to schedule your date!
