CJ and I would like to thank everyone for joining us on Sunday night for our youth group wedding reception, and to the many volunteers who made food, helped to decorate, clean or coordinate in any way. I had SO much fun celebrating my marriage to CJ with so many students (current & alumni), parents, and volunteers. I also enjoyed getting to wear my dress a second time! Thank you everyone for your many well wishes, CJ and I are so grateful for your presence and support in our lives :) 

This week we have a different Wednesday schedule so be sure to note that in your calendar. We also will not have a Sunday night youth group due to our very full San Francisco mission trip for our high school students. Hope you will choose something to join us for! 

A VERY Wacky Wednesday!
When: 4:30 - 6:30
Drop off: 372 Manila Dr, San Jose, CA 95119 (Bernal Ranch Park)
Pick up: 1200 Blossom Hill Rd (AHUMC)
 
This Wednesday is our monthly "Wacky Wednesday" program, where we choose a different activity to do every time we meet! We will be have a very wacky Wednesday this month however. We are meeting earlier, at 4:30, so we can partake on a hike together at Bernal Ranch Park (off Cottle) Lisa, Alex Corbalis and I will then drive students to Almaden Hills to enjoy hot chocolate & apple cider with some discussion. Pick up will be at 6:30pm.

RSVP is not necessary, but it would be helpful to know who we are waiting for at the hike. If you are planning on joining, please text or e-mail me to let me know!
SF High School Mission Trip!
Friday 11/13 - Sunday 11/15

This weekend Lisa & Kat will be gone with our high school students along with Jody Tempel & Jeanette Connolly.

Our trip is 100% FULL. However, we could always use more donations to hand out to people in San Francisco.

Warm items such as beanies, gloves and socks, small hygiene items, and $5 gift cards to McDonalds would all be appreciated. You can bring items on Wednesday night to youth group, or drop off at any of the three churches before Friday. (If you drop off at Cambrian Park UMC please text or e-mail Kat to let her know)

Prayers would also be very appreciated!

There will be no youth group on Sunday due to our trip.

MALL NIGHT LOCK-IN!
Dec. 4th @ 6:30pm - Dec. 5th @ 9:00am
Almaden Hills UMC
Our annual service lock-in is fast approaching! Every year, the JYM sponsor several families from local elementary schools through Esther's Outreach, CPUMC ministry. We buy Christmas presents & grocery gift cards for the different members of the family.

This year we are sponsoring 15 adults & 27 children. They are from Lietz & Oster schools and La Trinidad UMC.

How it works:

Friday evening we will meet at AHUMC and collect donations from students. We know that as parents you could easily send money with your student. However, we feel that this is a service opportunity for students to experience what is like it give their own money. So we ask that they bring some of their own allowance, salary, loose change they find in the couch!

We do not have a set amount that we ask students to bring, whatever they are willing and able to donate to the families is what we ask.

Volunteers will split the monetary amount evenly over all the individuals we sponsor. We then drive to the mall together and teens split into teams and we assign them one or two people to shop for.

After students are done shopping we return to AHUMC and they wrap their gifts. After that the lock-in part begins! We will do some activities all together and then have a sleepover at the church :) Pick up is the next day at 9:00am.

11/22 @ 5:00 - 7:00pm - Jr. & Sr. High Youth group w/small groups and worship.

12/4 - 12/5: Mall Night Lock-In!
