It's Your Venice -- Get Involved!
Mon., May 18:  Outreach Committee Meeting

The Outreach and Event Planning Committee promotes stakeholder awareness of Venice community issues and participation in Venice Neighborhood Council activities, organizes quarterly Stakeholder meetings and special events, and performs outreach to Stakeholders.

Tues., May 19:  Your Board of Officers Meets

The May Venice Neighborhood Council Board Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at 7:00 pm at the Westminster Elementary School Auditorium, 1010 Abbot Kinney Blvd.  

 

This event is free and open to the public. Public Comments are encouraged.

 

A detailed agenda will be posted on the Internet at www.VeniceNC.org and at the Abbot Kinney Library, 501 Venice Way, and Beyond Baroque, 681 Venice Blvd.

 

The VNC normally holds its regular meetings on the third Tuesday of each month and may also call any additional meetings in accordance with its By-Laws and the Brown Act.

 

Snacks and coffee will be provided at the meeting.

Recreation and Parks Report re: Park Supervisor
During its consideration of the 2015-16 Proposed Budget for the Department of Recreation and Parks (RAP), the Committee asked RAP to report back on the following question: Budget Impact No. 74- Report back on a workload analysis for the Superintendent position for Venice Beach and identify an optimal staffing model.

Sign Up for Emergency Alerts

Los Angeles County has implemented an emergency mass notification system that will be used to contact County residents and businesses via recorded phone messages, text messages or e-mail messages in case of emergency.  The system, called Alert LA County, will be used by the County's Emergency Operations Center to notify residents and businesses of emergencies or critical situations.
