Meet CSC's Timothy Leistner: Merging Art & Literacy

Timothy Leistner, Ed.D., a Programs Manager at CSC Broward, has a true passion for art and literacy! Find out why he believes kids not only need to hear the words in books but also see and appreciate the illustrations and artwork that go along with them. Timothy recently shared his passion on this topic at the 2015 Florida Afterschool Alliance Conference in Orlando. The focus of his presentation was using children's books and literature for teachers and staff so they can better utilize books in the classroom and extend learning through extension activities.
