After School Care:

In the event that you need after-school care, BFCCPS students are currently attending before and after-school programs at the YMCA Bernon Family Branch, Elemen-Tree House,  Adirondack Club: Active Kids, and Franklin Solutions. Each of these programs offer bus transportation from our school to their location.

We have confirmed that the following programs will be opening for our August 31st start date:
  • Adirondack Club: Active Kids
  • Elemen-Tree House
Please note that the Solutions Program will begin on Wednesday, September 2nd for students in grades 1 and up. Kindergarten students will be able to join the Solutions Program beginning on Thursday, September 3rd.

We reached out to the YMCA to confirm their start date, but have not heard back just yet. We will continue to reach out to them, but if your child will be attending the YMCA after school program, we recommend that you confirm their intended start date directly as well.

Franklin Middle School Bus Service
For students in Grades 6, 7 and 8:

BFCCPS Middle School Students can catch the Franklin High  School  bus in their neighborhood in the morning and get off at the High  School. They will transfer to another  bus which transports them to BFCCPS for arrival by 7:30am. Students will attend Before  School Care with Mr. Callahan until 8 am ( no fee for this service because they are taking the bus to BFCCPS).

HOWEVER, Franklin does NOT begin until Wednesday, September 2nd.  Therefore the  bus can pick up your child at your house between 7:15-7:45 AM and ride directly to BFCCPS on 8/31 and 9/1. Please contact Deb Schwab if you need this service so she can make the necessary arrangements.

Regional Bus Service:

Regional bus service is being finalized and we will reach out to regional families directly with more details ASAP.

Arrival and Dismissal Forms:

The arrival and dismissal form will be sent as soon as the bus schedules have been published.  This form will let us know how your students will be arriving and departing school each day.

Please note that this mandatory form will be due before the first day of school on Monday, August 31st.
