Our summer reading program, "Every Hero has a Story" was a huge success! 683 children
participated in the program.
Kids from birth to grade 1 read, (or had read to them), a grand total of 1,840 books; kids in grades 2 -12 read for an amazing 6,400 hours.
Our thanks to everyone who helped make our program a success: The Friends of Dover Public Library, Measured Progress, The Portland Seadogs, Domino's, Noggin Factory, and the parents/care givers who transported the children to the library and helped them fill out their reading booklets or reading logs. We had a great time!

handler, Karen, will be in the Children's Room on
Saturday, September 12 from 10-11:00am.

or drop by for a visit and a chance to read.

Library Hours
The Library will be closed Saturday, September 5 through Monday, September 7 for Labor Day. We will return to our Fall/Winter hours beginning Tuesday, September 8.
