Here are a few highlights from the ongoing work at the Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB).
CVB Staff on Super Bowl 50 Event Planning Committees
The Santa Clara Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) has been an active participant on several City of Santa Clara Super Bowl 50 event planning committees.  Annette Manhart, Vice President of Convention Sales, marketing and services and  Cary Keesecker, Convention Services Manager,  are members of the Super Community Black &  Gold Ball Committee. 

This high profile event is  tentatively scheduled for January 8, 2016  at the Santa Clara Convention Center.
In addition, David Andre, Vice President of Marketing & Communications, is serving on two Super Bowl 50 event planning committees - Super Celebration and also the Super Concert & Fireworks.

For the Super Celebration event, Andre is playing a key role in the concept and planning for the Pep Rally which is a significant component of the day-long Super Bowl 50 celebration scheduled for February 6, 2016 at Santa Clara University.

For the Super Concert & Fireworks scheduled for January 31, 2016 at Mission College, the CVB team will assist with media, publicity and promotion.  


Groups Sales Securing Hotel Contracts for Super Bowl 50
Debbie Keller, Director of Sales for the SMERF Market, continues to work with the Super Bowl 50 Host Committee on hotel contracts for the Super Bowl and is continuing to communicate with both the Host Committee and NFL. Debbie is also managing potential additional groups that are considered confidential bids.

"The Game"  Destination Video Passes 1,000 Views
The video focuses on Santa Clara visitor attractions with special attention to Levi's Stadium and the upcoming Big Game. 

In addition to appearing on the CVB and City of Santa Clara's websites, the video has also been posted on Visit Santa Clara social media media channels including YouTube, Facebook, Google+ and Twitter. You can watch the video at santaclara.org


CVB Staff Attends Connect Trade Show
The Santa Clara Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) Group Sales Staff attended the Connect Trade Show in Pittsburgh, PA August 27-29. 
This is a reverse trade show where the suppliers set appointments with potential clients. Each appointment is seven minutes long.
