W Encourager Header
Welcome to EFC-ER's Weekly Encourager. We trust that this will become a bright spot each week in your emails. The purpose of the Weekly Encourager is to provide up-to-date information about region-wide events, prayer requests, and helpful resources from the local churches. We will close each email with a quick quote and/or survey to gather helpful resources from leaders to share with our wider Friends family.
Pray for Nepal
Continue to pray for our Friends in Nepal after the earthquake this past Saturday.  EFM Director Dan Cammack said, "John Williams, Ron Stansell, and I have been in touch with our missionaries and they are doing as well as can be expected under the circumstances. The missionaries have been hearing from their friends that there seems to be no loss of life among Friends at this point." Samson and Priscilla R. and the Vanlals are back in their homes but do not have water. Samson has been helping in the villages, where most of the damage occurred. Bob and Debbie A. are safe as well, but may still be sleeping outside until the tremors cease.

We have set up a fund if you or your church would like to give to help repair their homes and churches. You may send checks to EFC-ER marked "Nepal Relief" and we will send the funds to EFM. These funds will be used for EFC-Nepal churches until local needs are met.
Keeping Prayer a High Priority
We trust that every church is sharing these prayer requests within their local prayer community. Here are this week's requests:

1
- This Thursday is the National Day of Prayer. Join with other Friends as we pray for our leaders, country, and world.
2 - Randy Heckert is home from the hospital but appreciates prayer as he recovers from a blood clot and pneumonia.
3 - Our Baltimore Hispanic Friends are fine, but continue to pray for the area and the people affected by the riots.

Ladies, as many of you know, this year we will be celebrating 40 years of WMF retreats! One way we would like to celebrate is to offer a WMF 40th anniversary t-shirt, sweatshirt, or hoodie. The best part is we would like one of you to design the logo!

Please keep in mind:
- it is our 40th anniversary
- we would like WMF or Women's Missionary Fellowship in the design
- to reduce cost, please design in black and white
- the deadline is July 1, 2015

Submit entries to Amy Breazeal at 148 Fawcett Ct. NW, Canton, OH 44708 or [email protected].

Everyone will get the chance to vote at the WMF table at Yearly Meeting. The winner will be announced at the WMF luncheon on July 20th.

A Little Extra.... QUOTE  FOR THE WEEK:

"Pray then like this:
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,  a nd forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil."
- Matthew 6:9-13 (ESV)
